Spring is a commin!

So its about that time again.  We are all really excited to start the growing season.  For those of you who don't know, we lease organic land from Bella Organics on Sauvie Island.  This year will be amazing, I am sure of it.  First off, they fixed the drainage problem at the farm, and the fields are looking good, meaning it is not a huge pool of water and mud. That means we will be discing the fields much earlier this year!  Yippee!   I have a feeling that everything we learned from last year will help us be more successful this year.  Fertilize, Fertilize, Fertilize.  Work smarter, not harder.   The girls and I got together recently and chose what we will be growing this year.  Our main goal is to grow more of what went well last year, and to utilize the entire 1/2 acre plot.  Below is a list of seeds we will be planting this year.  We ordered our seeds from Abundant Life Seed Company located here in Oregon.  Not only are the seeds local, but they are organic which complies with our Oregon Tilth standards.
